Cookies

Cookies are tiny files that are stored on your computer when you visit various web sites. Each cookie consists of just a single name/value pair. Cookies allow web servers to "recognize" you and simplify your visit. For example, when you log into the member's only area of DrFirst.com, the server uses cookies to identify as you surf through various private areas of the web site. When you place items in a "shopping cart" at an e-commerce site, cookies are used to keep track of what is in your cart as you move from page to page. To prevent your computer from becoming overcrowded, all cookies have an "expiration date", at which point they will automatically delete themselves. Cookies are harmless and are commonplace on most e-commerce web sites.
